Put yourself first.

I know this sounds contradictory from what we’ve been told our entire lives, but it’s quite important to put yourself first.

Oprah Winfrey once said that she takes it as a compliment when people say “she’s full of herself…” “My cup is so full”, she preaches, “that it is overflowing!” Because her cup runneth over, she has more than enough to pour into the people around her.

Don’t be afraid of honoring yourself! We teach people how to treat us by the way we treat ourselves; so treat yourself like a queen and watch the world around you respond accordingly.

Developing queen-consciousness does not mean belittling the people around you and acting as if the entire world revolves around you and only you.

Queen-consciousness is a state of mind by which a woman recognizes the immense value she brings to the world and carries herself in a way that reflects self-respect, honor, and integrity. Queens are well-respected and in positions of power; therefore, they are able to help assist numbers of people. Every single woman is a queen, sometimes we just need to be reminded of it and adjust our crowns!

Only through the ability to honor yourself and that which is greater than yourself (the reason for your being here) do you have the ability to offer the full expression of who you are to the rest of the world!

So [First name], remember who you are!

Recall why you’re here.

Remember why you started your business in the first place, and never let that go.

And, most importantly, walk with your head held high, recognize your strengths, gifts, and talents, and remember to take care of yourself every step of the way.

You’ve got this, queen.
